Add Or Delete Any Folder And Library To Favorites In Windows 7 Explorer
In Windows 7 OS, there is a Favorites branch inside the navigation window in explorer. It provides a quick and easy way to access locations which are used frequently. If you want a custom folder or drive or library to appear in Favorites of Windows Explorer, please follow the small trick to insert a Library or any path to Favorites in Windows 7 OS.
1. Adding the links in Favorites in windows explorer
Firs of all, you have to browse folder or library to appear it in the Favorites branch. After browsing, the specific location of the library or a folder will appear in the Address Bar of Windows Explorer. Just right click on Favorites and click on the option which is named as “Add Location in Browser to Favorites”.
As an alternate way to this, you can just drag and drop a folder or directory or library to Favorites section. A benefit of the drag and drop action is that, you can locate the recently added Favorite links in the preferred location.
Tip: After the addition, you can sort or rearrange all the added links in a sequential manner by just clicking and dragging it up or down.
2. Removing link from Favorites of windows explorer
You may feel uncomfortable with some folders or links which are appearing in the Favorites section of windows explorer. To remove this link, folder, path or library, just right click on it. A context menu will appear, click on Delete option. A confirmation massage will be prompted click on Yes. The Favorite link will be m oved to Recycle Bin.
When you remove the Favorite link, only the shortcut pointing to actual folder is deleted. Any type of physical file and folder is not removed to avoid data loss.
