I’m sorry Bluedart, and sorry readers that I am starting this post with a negative note ! Now, I do not have anything personal against BlueDart. Frankly, whenever I’ve availed their service, I’ve been happy and never got a chance to complaint about the service quality or customer service. But, here’s the catch, I come from one of the tier one cities, where both customers and vendors are considered to be considerate while doing business. So I guess that’s the reason for the smooth sail. Now I can’t take the same call for all other cities, especially the tier two cities or the so called famous satellite cities.

Somewhere something is / has been going wrong. This post is based on the response I’ve got from Bluedart customers, some new, some regular, and most of them have one thing to say – they are not happy with the way BlueDart is providing it’s service to them and some are even unhappy with the response they get when they try to get in touch with BlueDart’s customer service.

Just check this post where people from Amritsar, Chennai, Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), Kolkatta, Lucknow, Puri, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, and many more cities, share their experience with BlueDart…

Now, this surely is a wakeup call for BlueDart and they should do something about this as soon as possible, else it’ll not be too long before they lose their loyal customers to their better serving competitors.

I have no idea if BlueDart has any ‘Online People/Customer Relationship Manager’. If you happen to be ‘The One’, I guess you owe an explanation and apology for the problems and confusions caused.

  3. I HAVE VISITED AT BLUE DART ON 18/12/2015 AND GET ENROLLED MY MOBILE NO. 9953937454 AGAINST MY COURIER FROM ICICI BANK LTD. WIDE REF NO. AWB 43955734373, AND I WAS ASSURED BY MR. LALIT TO THE COURIER WILL GET DELIVERED BY THE NEXT DAY. ON 19/12/2015 TILL 12.00 O’CLOCK NOON. BUT I HADN’T RECEIVED THAT SO I MADE A CALL TO HIM AND SAID THAT THE BOY WHO HAD TO DELIVER THIS HE FORGOT THE PARCEL AND WE WILL SEND IT AGAIN BY EVENING. EVEN THOUGH I DIN’T GET THAT PALCEL AND MADE AGAIN A CALL TO HIM, AND HE SAID THAT FOR MONDAY 21/12/2015, WHAT IS THIS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I am not happy with the blue dart courier services, as my consignment dispatched on 31/10/2015, already its 09/11/2015, 10 days over still i have not get the consignment, i am following up with the blue dart from last 10 days on-wards, if this is the case i will go to consumer court i will ask the compensation for my loss, so please today only deliver at any cost my parcel other wise, i will take the further legal action on you.

    Dear Sir/Madam, I am a fabulous and ardent customer of SNAPDEAL. I ordered many articles and products and enjoyed amazing shopping at Snapdeal. But my serious concern is the inefficiency and inability of BLUEDART delivery agency in my town WANAPARTHY in Mahabubnagar Dist in Telangana State (Vide PIN :509103). The local courier agency is not delivering the ordered articles at my door steps. Recently I ordered a Honey badger white cotton cap vide order No: 8690960109 on 28-09-2015 in addition to other many articles I ordered in Snapdeal. The above mentioned article was correctly reached the destination point on 01-10-2015 but they failed to deliver the article at my door steps. I approached the agency on 02-10-2015 at 7:30 PM to collect the article but they are utterly failed to find the article in the pool of plenty articles and expressed their inefficiency to handover the said article. This kind of experience is not new to me and I faced the problem for each and every time when I placed an order through the Snapdeal. Even the delivery agency did not feel SORRY and apologized for the inconvenience caused to a trusted customer like me and I am extremely disappointed in this regard and matter. I earnestly request you to address my grievance and complaint and resolve my concern. In spite of the above explained hassle I say nothing is wrong in getting articles and products in Snapdeal. I love Snapdeal…Thanks a lot.

    A shipment was to be delivered to me but as I was out of station, a sorry card vide No. 227045 was left for me but regrettably without mentioning any telephone number, name of the delivery staff, date etc. I therefore, had to call the customer service help line on 12.06.15 at 10 am who informed me that the shipment would be delivered to me between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm on 13.06.15. Further, a call was received from the Zoo road branch of Guwahati from ph:03612207162 on 12.06.15 that the shipment would be delivered to me around 11 am to 12 noon on 13.06.15 but when the delivery was not effected, I again made a call to customer service help line at 4.48 pm who confirmed that the delivery staff has already left with the parcel and it would be delivered before 6.00 pm. But after waiting the whole day without positive outcome, I had to personally go to the Zoo road office after locating the phone no. from the net as the customer service helpline was not responding at that point of time. Even the local no: 03612207162 was not being attended to. I was not even informed of the inability to deliver the shipment on the appointed date and time although my contact no. was recorded on the parcel. As a result, I had to wait for the whole day, thus wasting my valuable time. Above all, the most embarrassing part was that the staff who handed over the parcel after lots of persuasion behaved in a most unbecoming manner. It was indeed a serious harassment to me as I had to face very rude behaviour and ill treatment from the staff. In my considered view, the staff must be educated properly for the customer service and they be asked to seek apology. The matter relates to airway bill no. 43862265786.

  9. I ordered through Snapdeal and my Bluedart AWB no. Is 69241697803. I have been tracking my order for a while now. First it was delayed for no reason and estimated delivery date was extended to today. Today it showed abruptly that “consignee not found” even though I was at home all day the customer care no. For Delhi is not working as well which I received through text. I called the aligarh no. But no one is picking up. Deeply disappointed in blue dart. I want my package asap! What is the solution to this?

  10. It is very disgusting that Blue Dart is not able to deliver a consignment within heart of Guwahati city. Anybody wants to send something , he/she should be careful of sending it through Blue Dart. More over I could not find any option in their site to send a complaint.

  11. Bluedart is truly the worst courier company! I have lost count of how many parcels have been returned by them without even attempting delivery, even though I stay in a central location in Bangalore. They make up some fraudulent excuses like “Door locked” or “Incorrect address” without even attempting delivery of the item. I think they are not interested in doing their job, their only aim is to get money from their clients. One sincere request to all online shopping websites – Please do not send your items via Bluedart. You will only lose your customers because of their inefficiency.

    Blue dirt is the worst logistic company.
    They will make tall claims but all fake. They will claim delivery within 24 hours and it will take more than 15 days and number of phone calls. Be prepared to waste as much money on phone calls as u paid them for courier charges. Their customer care is pathetic its difficult to connect to them and once you will connect its worst to communicate with them. Their executives are as clueless as you.Their standard response to all your complaints we have too much work load, we have 35^ market share. God I will eagerly wait when they will have zero market share and zero work load

    I happen to stay at Garia,a place ,where unfortunately, houses are not numbered but still I receive all my impaortant mail send by DTDC,Speed Post, Overnite Exp.and other Courier Services.But the all the documents sent through Blue Dart never reaches us.This happened in the past and recently Important documents send by Citibank,Axis Bank werenot delivered to me . They do not even bother to contactus though Cell numbers are available to them.I have never seen such a bad service provider and wonder why people & org. choose them.

Truly sucks its not really good courier service cuz I buy product from ebay and thy send it throught bluedart and I check the bill no on bluedart tracking and I found that delivery date is on 12th but guess what today is 19 but I didn’t get the courier yet.Today is Monday and on Saturday I call the services two times one is around 10:30 and they told me they will give delivery rite away but around 4:30 I call again so told me same line but that are just lazy bone they didn’t give me on that day today I already call twice but i dont think they r serious. So never send your courier by Bluedart if you are living in Jodhpur.

From morning of 12/11/12 i have been continuosly talking to your customer service . they had assured me that the shipment will reach me till 8 pm. After not recieving I again called your customer care, nobody picked up the phone. Personally we visited your courier service and nothing was done.   24. Waybill No.43950957901..I do not know why a popular shopping site like Indiatoday/Bagittoday selected the blue dart courier. It is not realiable. My parcel despatched from 26th Oct’12 not received tillday. For a 1600 rupees parcel I have spent more than 2000 rupees in phone….great the parcel is ceased by sales tax department at Kolkata.     While doing the courier posting I was told that the courier will be sent to destination on 20th instant. But till today, the 23rd of October the couriers are not delivered.

    Both the couriers were costing me Rs 900 and Rs.600 respectively being charge of urgent. It had weight of approx 1 Kg. However my query is why the these are not delivered till today. Even it has not reached the office of the destination town. I am following up regularly.
    The matter is very urgent and I want to know the reason of delay

    Your delivery representative left one slip at 10:20 am on 24.09.2012 and again on 25.09.2012. I contacted on helpline number 66111234 and IVR requested to deliver the letter/packet

    Surprisingly, your delivery rep.visited on 26.09.2012 at 11.15am.

    My question/complaint is : ~~why delivery was not not attempted at my requested time? The height of inefficiency happened that you preferred to return it back to sender.
    On 27.09.2012,I was talking to one Ms.Bhoomika on customer care helpline from 12.15 noon onwards. She made me to hold on and wait for nearly 18 minutes and still could neither provide any reply nor give me Complaint No. inspite of my repeat intermitant

  31. It has been an old practice of non delivery of parcels at appropriate time. When the given address of delivery is of a bank, do you expect the receiver to receive the parcel till late at night? I remain in the office till 6 pm and the Way Bill no. 43919263721 is returned showing that I was not available. Is this the reputation of your esteemed courier service? This is just the repeatation of sequences. Had it been once, I could understand. I do not know what step you would take to make the delivery today, but since I would be proceeding on leave, I had requested for re-delivery. Very very disgusting!!

    We are your account holders vide: no. 018863. I had a consignment
    to my Chennai office, which was given to blue dart office on 09th June 2012. The consignment was given Tracking No.50154650136.The consignment was very urgent.We thought it had reached the destination. We spoke to our chennai office regarding the further distribution of the materials on today -14th June 2012. To our surprise they said the consignment did not reach.
    Immediately we called up Blue dart office and they just CASUALLY said the consignment was lying in the warehouse. when asked why was it not send they said some lame excuse.
    We consider this act as very irresponsible, and careless which has caused to spoil our reputation among our customers. We make reputation with constant hard work, but have to pay big price for the irresponsible nature of some of your staff.
    We shall appreciate if you follow up the matter and take necessary action so that this kind of incidents do not happen in future.

My shipment has reached d head office… The person from the delivery point calls me and says that i shuld come and get my consignment from his office or he will sent tat back to the from address… So what is d use of courier and all the money we pay….??? They even don speak politely… In this case it seems i only have to travel 33 kms to get my things… Better they don accept d shipment if they don have service points…. Good for all,,, highly disappointed with service….

  48. Lately we are encountering lot of problems regarding service issues for pick up by your boys.
    Your boys need to understand the importance of the duty that they are entrusted with as any pick up from a company is of vital importance which cannot be missed even a single day.
    Also when we try reaching your Bangalore office numbers, it is not received mostly by anyone.

    Since no pick up was done which resulted financial loss to our clients as we had important documents to be sent.

    Please understand that this kind of irresponsible and negligent attitude by your boys would not be appreciated and you need to take action againgst them.
    Please understand that the worthiness of any organization depends on the service levels which spreads across by word of mouth.

    Please let us know if your boys or staff have any kind of issue doing pick ups we can search for an alternative courier service who atleast would provide timely service with pleasing faces.

But your Blue Dart person has wrongly booked it to Ucal Fuel System and has been wrongly delivered also on 28.01.2012 to Ucal Fuel System. And there is no response from your MM Nagar person(No Reply) and because of this we have lost one day production. Kindly make a note and take corrective action & reply for me,.

I would like to bring the following facts to the notice of the person sitting at the helm of the Blue Dart organisation that my son soumit biswas booked a single shipment of one soater, make puma vide order no. YBH 919550 dt. 17.12.2011 which was shipped vide Airway Bill No. 58375103183, the delivery of which we got today i.e. 0n 04.01.2012 after long persuation. The matter of non-receipt was communicated to Yehbi Customer service time and again and every time they cut sorry figure. When contacted with one Mr Prasant sitting at telephone no. 033-22881234 in Kolkata on 29.12.2011, he promised me to get the article delivered to me within the shortest possible time and took down my address, telephone no. etc. etc. But all in vain. Finally, today i.e. on 04.01.2012 someone associated with Blue Dart service personally helped me and I got the article. Had he not helped, I suppose the representative of Blue Dart would have not delivered the same at all and probably consumed it by themselves. I strongly believe that there are more rooms for the organisation claims to be the Leader in courier service like BLUE DART to pull the socks and plug the loop holes of this nature and the people get their articles without being misplaced/misappropriated.

    I received a telephone call from M/s. Bluedart Couriers, koonamthai, edappalli,Kochi a few days back that they have received a courier in my name from HSBC containing credit card. The address was of my residential area which happens to be 30 kms away from Edapally. M/s. Bluedart informed me that they do not have delivery service in my area and as such asked me to collect the material from their office. I am on leave up to 28-11-2011 after two surgeries after an accident that took place at Nagpur while I was on official trip and I informed them about my inabiity to travel up their office. On 17-11-2011, I received a phone call from Bluedart that I could collect the credit card directly from their office. For me, it was my first experience to go to a courier’s office to collect credit card.Unfortunately I did not take any identity card with me. The person called me also did not tell me to bring identity card. Upon reaching their office with great difficulty with the help of a Walker, I was told that without identity card they would not deliver the card.I told them I have two debit cards with me i.e. Union Bank and Canara Bank and the mobile which contained the call records between the courier’s and myself. But non of my reqests were acceeded to.Then I told them that i could take them to my office which is only 7 km away from their office and I can prove myself as Ravikumar.This was flatly refused on the ground that they do not have time. Then I suggested them to come to my residence in my cab and I could show them more than 1 identity card and I was ready to drop them back at their office in my cab. This was also refused flatly as they are not authorized to deliver materils in that area. It goes without saying that why then the company accept the parcel which should be delivered at my place? I am senior officer in the rank of grade-1 officer in a central govt organization. Because of the surgeries, I cannot wear pant and shirt except Dhothi and T-shirt. On seeing me in these attire, the bluedart staff might have though I might be a layman or begger. Meanwhile i found an offer from HSBC that those who book flight tickets through HSBC caards would get a cash back of Rs.1000/- for each flight and the offer was valid up to 23-11-2011. As said earlier, my accident took place at Nagpur and the MACT case was posted for 8-12-2011. For to and fro Nagpur, one has to embargo four flights and I would get a benefit of Rs.4000/- if the ticket is booked through HSBC card. Hence I went to the office of Bluedart on 19-11-2011 with 5 (five) identity cards i.e. Ration card having photo emposed, Pan card, Driving licence, Voters card and family health card issued from my office. But utter to my dismay and astonishment, none of these cards were considered and I was told that the card could be delivered at my office only after identifying me by my collegues. However, I took them to my office and my collegues identified me as their officer and I thought the problem is over. The staff of Bluedart noted my identity card number in their delivery note and told me to collect the card from their office. Since I am a peace loving man and considering my status in the office campus, I did not utter a work and let them go. After 15 minutes when I called the Bluedart office, I was told that my name could not be tracked in their computer. I felt funny in their reply because only a few minutes back they came to my office, identified me and noted the i card number in their delivery challan. After one hour, I contacted the HSBC and they told me that they received message from Bluedart that th addressee refused to take delivery. I think this is to be considered as one of the best jokes of this year and these people sitting in Bludart are more suitable to work in circus company as jockers. Now my question is who would bear the cost of travel for two days to Edappally and Ernakulam and back. The loss I am going to incur (Rs.4000) by not booking flight tickets in time. The pressure and mental agony suffered by me due to harassment met by me from your staff. The physical pain suffered by me due to travel with a Walker as I was supposed to use the walker for another one month and is not subjected to travel long distance. I THINK YOUR FRONT OFFICE STAFF NEED TO BE TRAINED ABOUT CUSTOMER RELATION, AS THE CUSTOMER IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE KING AND BEHAVE PROPERLY WITH THEM. IT IS ALSO SUGGESTED TO GIVE THEM COACHING ABOUT MARKETING AND HR MANAGEMENT. It is requested to kindly intimate the action taken on the above subject through my email.

    We have a bluedart account with giving them monthly a modest business of Rs, 15000- Rs. 20000/-.
    1. There is no central complaint option availale.
    2. The complaints/requests forwarded to the local office is met with luke warm response.
    3. Even though we are giving them decent business, most of the time its us who does the followup and then they realize that there is problem in the delivery. Since we deal with online selling, delivery of articles with in time limits are extreamly important but these people fail to understand.
    4. Any complaints lodged through their site via their own contact system fails to get a single response.
    5. Several stop shipment requests for which they charge us return shipment amount (its not free) are not yet all followed up and we dont get any feedback onthe status and finally to find out that nothing ws done aboout those requests and articles get delivered causing discomfort to many people ..

  58. There are lot of service lapse in Blue Dart services.. The courier guy Never tried to contact on Mobile of a customer. When I tried to contact the customer care on 13th Sept and ask them to deliver my shipment on 16th, they confirmed to deliver between 2to 4 PM and I contacted again on 16th afternoon,I got the confrmation that it will be delivered positively to my official address but nobody comes and finally when I gain contct the customercare, I got t know that it has been sent back to Chennai.This is rediculous.This is the kind of service level.

The service at Bluedart is getting worse by the day,one of our shippment’s has been held up at some checkpost which was despatched from Bangalore on 06th July 2011 but the people of Bluedart did not even have the decency to inform us about it & this is not the first time this has happened each time we have a consignment coming via Bluedart we face the same problem.
    Even after sumitting fresh road permits to them they just dont bother to give any feedback & whenever you call them their system is never updated.
    They have no value at all for their clients.

But the courier delivery person not at all accepting Family Card also issued by Civil supplies dept.,

It should be come to Bank and other department knowledge the blue dart courier service is not reliable and ignore to choose any kind services correspondence service. yeh.. I remember I have the telephonic conversation with Customer care and he told me he bill redirect to send my courier at my home address and confirm what they don’t, also my mobile no. mentioned on shipment but they not willing to try call me ….. Wah wah… Same less currier company….. And it’s about in our national capital… I promise with my self I’ll never use this currier service in my life because it’s same 4-5 time experience with BLUEDART

    I am completely n agreement with your comments Blue dart is worst courier provider. I facing similar problem with them… they shipped my consignment to wrong address and update wrongly in there tracking system and I am still struggling to find any update from them. They are incompetent to provide services to there customer for which they are charging them & there customer care is even more pathetic they won’t provide you with complaint number once you tried to register with them . I tried to register my complaint with them on 011-66111234 and they are reluctant to provide any complaint number till they finish with there internal investigation and its more than 96 hours… for the shipment which is supposed to delivered with-in 24 hours… really pissed off with there miserable services…

  86. we always book courier form bhiwandi but we never get POD while Booking, when ask we get these POD after 4- 5 days and for that also we need to fight a lot. however shipment booked today will get dleiver after 4-5 days though Blue dart promise to deliver within 24 hrs

  87. Blue Dart Receipt No. 13025200020, delivered from New Delhi to Bangalore on 17th January. They promise delivery within 24 hours. I have not received any communication from their side. They charge four to five times higher than the regular courier services but they don’t work on Sundays. Their website is not accessible and none answers the customer care number.

    Let me tell you my story I went to your Sector-16 ,Noida branch to send some gifts to my relative’s kids. A lady sitting at the counter asked to open the box and reveal the gift items. Me, as a good citizen caring the security angle opened the box and showed the contents, then after some time a gentleman came in. He said , you have to show the gifts again, as the lady is gone . I said “OK”, again the whole search procedure went on .Once completed Mr.Bittu Lal Mehra asked for the invoices which I was not aware of while the search was going on .
    Obeying him I went home and got the invoices and requested that ,this is a gift pack and please don’t send the invoices along .
    I was assured by the personnel that, it’s for their records and will not go along.
    The courier reached the destination on time ,but to my surprise with all the invoices .
    My question to the concern is : Have you given child a balloon or a doll with a cash memo on his birthday ?
    I know one cannot imagine even.
    The services provided by you is embarrassing , ridiculous and an act of stupidity .
    My request to the concern is : Hire people who can really communicate with the customer well and who are well versed with the system .

    BLUE DART REALLY SUCKS. Guys – don’t waste your precious money on blue dart. They charge 10 times a normal courier and promise delivery in 24hours. They do not deliver till around 72 hrs. Their claim is bogus and they purely cheat the customer and make money. There is also no way to track delivery and their customer service sucks completely.

    I have tried them 3-4 times, and only once has the courier reached in 36 hrs. Not in 24 hrs. I am going to take these guys to consumer court for cheating and misleading the customers.

    If anyone is trying to use blue dart, please keep note of our experience.

  93. I am a regular customer of Bludart. I have booked a shipment from Bangalore to Baddi (HP) through AWB No. 13013598371. When have not received the parcel, then I track the shipment on Bluedart site, it shows waiting for delivery response. I went to their office at Baddi, I asked for my shipment, Mr. Raghuveer Singh told me to show the photo ID, I give him my driving licence, He rudely said we will deliver the shipment as we get the time, I requested him it is an urgent parcel for me, please hand over to me, as per you requirement i have given photo ID. Then he said, we have so much work, do not book your parcel through BLUDART again.
    For his complaint I have searched Blue dart site for corporate or address for customer complaint. They have not uploaded any address, Email ID or contact number for the customer complaint.

    You will appreciate Jamshedpur is only 4 hours by train and if it takes a consignment to reach after 4 days is unpardonable. Then why is courier being used.

    The consignment has still NOT reached my house till the time of writing this mail i.e. 15:27 hrs. on 15/11/2010, even though I checked at your Jamshedpur office this morning who confirmed that the consignment has reached Jamshedpur today.

    I would request you to look into the matter as it is important and serious.

    My POD No. is 13022566012. When I called Customer Care at Malakpet, Hyderabad, at around 13.30 Hrs they have informed me that the cover could not be delivered as the people at the address informed that I have shifted my residence. My In laws stay in that address and they receive all the products addressed to me. As I had no time to argue with the people on phone, I requested them to deliver the cover at my Office address if possible. As I came to know that the procedure to change the delivery address is a little bit complex, I again called and requested them to deliver the cover at the address which is written on the cover. But the response was very discourteous and they have informed me that if I want the cover I have to go to Malakpet and collect it. Kindly arrange to deliver the cover immediately.

My complain is about the delivery of my HDFC ATM card which according to the blue dart slip that i have in my door, it said that a employee of blue dart have came to my place for delivery of the card at 11:25 am on 27 october 2010 but to my surprise I was in my home at 11:25 am yesterday and nobody delivered me anything. When i returned from office I show a slip in my door saying “Sorry to have missed you” and time given in the slip is 11:25 am.
    Please provide me my courier as soon as possible and for god sake please please give correct information.

  103. courier with id no-AWB#42878091222 dispatched from hdfc bank on 14-10-10 did not deliver to me .May be it is again redispatched through blue dart .Your employee Mr.ALPESH at navsari does not give a proper answer .This person tells me eventhough you come to the office we cannot give you the courier .How could your company become so irresponsible .justify it .Ask your senior person to solve the issue .othrwise iwill take some legal action .

  104. Recently HDFC Bank dispatched my Credit Card from Chennai to my Company Address(Noida). Without even reaching to me or giving me a call they put the status as “Consignee not available at given address”. Somehow i managed to call their Customer Service and redirected it to my Home Address (Delhi).
    I was waiting for them to deliver as it was scheduled since i was constantly coordinating with them. Once again no one came to deliver it at my home and status was again showing “Consignee not available at given address”. I was confused and frustrated with this their poor service and treatment. I wrote an email to Service Manager in Delhi, Chennai and Blue Dart Global Account Manager.
    After 6 days of drama, i am still waiting for this courier to get delivered.

    We have booked one consginment thru Blue Dart Apex vide docket no. 58104999293 Dtd. : 04.10.10 at 16:00 Hrs from Delhi to Amritsar. Till now (i.e today is 07.10.10)it is not delivered to Amritsar. Upon checking with customer care at Delhi and Ambala we understand that this consignement is lying at Ambla right now.

    Since DART Apex is express air service of Blue Dart. Hence it is not at all clear to us that how come consignement is lying at Ambala right now. This should be Amritsar Airport till now.

    Since this consignement has some important material which we have to install at M/s. Khanna Paper Mills, Amritsar on immediate basis. Our work is suffering badly due to this matter. We have booked this consignement thru Dart Apex considering that said material should be delivered by next day i.e 05-10-10.

    We are facing trouble and on this matter wants to talk/write to higher authorities/management of Blue Dart.

    Please help us in this matter and arrange immediate delivery of this consignement.

    How worse can it get when you are couriering this BLUE DART, because of certain individuals.

    I ordered a Dell Desktop and due for deliver, seeming that Blue Dart does excellent they both companies have tie-up.

    The computer’s estimated time delivery was on Monday 12th July.

    I get a call at 5 PM, from a Blue Dart executive named Nagaraj (i think he works out of the BTM location) informing me that he is outside my home to do the consignment delivery.

    I hope and understand at least when you are doing a Large Parcel delivery the customer needs to be get prior intimation, as I understand small parcels it is difficult for them to call each and every person’s availability.

    When I told him, I am not at home and will be back in one hour without telling answering to me, he disconnects the phone.

    When I try to reach him back from the cell phone number he has called does not respond, after three .. four times he picks the phone. Ask when do plan to do the delivery he said Sunday morning by 12 ‘o’ Clock. Told him an alternative plan that I would come and collect it from BTM layout, to that he said a firm NO.

    Thinking that he would deliver the consignment the next day on Sunday, waited for his call. But for some instintive reason I called him at 10 AM, he said he will be there at my place in J.P.Nagar in 20/30 mins (which is actual time take if you drive down at 30kms/40kms in vehicle, which is absolutely fine).

    It was 11.45 and this guy Nagaraj from Blue Dart has not reached my place for delivery. From 11.45 to 12.30, i called him about 14-15 times but does not bother to pick my phone. Thinking that he must be in some meeting or heldup somewhere where he is not able to pick my phone, sent him a text/SMS. Waited till 1, but does not reply to my text. After that frantically called him 8-10 times on his phone continuously, finally picks and says “SIR I AM IN A OFFICE PARTY”.

    What does this guy think about customer, where has the customer commitment gone. 10 in the morning he says I will come in 20/30 mins, within couple of hours he says I am in a office party.

    I don’t deny the fact that people should not be attending Office Parties, but why in the first does he have to commit that he will come and make me wait for 3..4 hours for nothing. Even customer have their own space and time on weekends and cannot be sitting the whole day expecting the BLUE DART guys to come over. Finally he says ok SIR WILL CALL YOU TOMORROW MORNING AND LET YOU KNOW WHEN I WILL DELIVERY THE CONSIGNMENT.

    Was absolutely furious with the kind of behavior which this guy has, I seriously condemn it, shows through irresponsibility from Blue Dart. Never in my last 6/7 years of BLUE DART couriering experience heard something like this. At least for large shipments they have to assign more responsible like how they do it for CREDIT CARD deliveries.

    This is a genuine incident that happened and there is no exaggeration in terms of numbers and facts.

  123. I think you should award a gold medal to your courier boys who are so smart and diligent that they even question the genuineness of a ration card issued by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. I now come to my case.
    Today a courier boy from your company came to deliver a debit card of DCB at my residence in Dahisar. My son had gone to his office. So,as a proof of identity I showed your man my original ration card with my name appearing in the front and my family members’ names, viz. wife, sons and mother appearing at the back. Your man said that he can’t accept the ration card since my name was not written at the back. I may inform you that this is the same ration card which I have submitted as proof to authorities like banks and other institutions. The genuineness has never been questioned just because my name does not appear at the back. My name clearly appears in the front and family members’ names at the back are written with their relationship viz. wife, son, etc.
    Your courier boy was however not convinced and refused to deliver the debit card to me. He refused to disclose his name.
    In view of my above explanation,you are requested to instruct your man to deliver the debit card to me without delay. Expecting your urgent action in the matter.

  124. Bluedart, don’t ask me about this.I think such courier service should be banned. Even in today’s world where, things are running at the speed of light, they are like snail. Here is my Story:
    One of my Credit card was to deliver only Home Address. I check the status on bluedart’s Site, current status said “Address is incomplete so could not deliver.” Though address was fully complete, and I am getting even ordinary mail on that address. I called up to customer care some Egoist, Girl received the phone( and didn’t even tell her name), and said Courier boy is on the way. When I said, about the status appearing on the site, she told yes your address is incomplete.
    When I said why didn’t courier boy called me, she said we are not supposed to call customer….
