Site Statistics For The Month Of May 2009

As you can see from the image, May 2009 was good month, but it’s really a long way ahead before I can consider TechBuzz a success. I am trying to spend more quality time write informative posts at TechBuzz. Things I really need to look at improving is, subscriber count and user comments. I’m still way back in that. Hopefully over the next few months this will increase.

Site Statistics For The Month Of April 2009

Another month ended and it’s stats time again. A lot of content and promotions in the right way has helped us move TechBuzz move even further, in terms of traffic and popularity. Good advice from a few good friends like Justin, has helped me learn a lot and I have been putting all that I learn in to action. This is the only way you can be successful, put all that you learn into action.

I’ll share my tactics, guidelines I follow, best practices and findings with everyone, but I still need to settle the blog to a stage before that.

Site Statistics For The Month Of April 2009

Getting to the stats part now: In March 2009, there were an average of 206.3

unique visitors generating 264 page impressions / day.

And in April 2009, there were 576  unique visitors on average who generated 788.3 page impressions / day.

On a month to month basis, here’s TechBuzzs traffic report:

Page Views 8186 23647 Up 289%
Unique Visitors 6396 17279 Up 270%

Unique Visitors –> Increased by 270%

Page views/impressions –> Increased by 289%

I did try out a few advertising options, and I’d say they were satisfactory. Infolinks were pretty low on their payout, and adsense did average. To make money from either, TechBuzz will need a lot more traffic, which means a lot more hardwork involved. I have to try my hand at affiliate marketing and direct advertising, but again, I am in no hurry to make money and hence they take a back seat right now.

Alexa rank as of now is around 193856. I don’t really rely on Alexa rank, but just to be with the flow, I’ll track my growth on Alexa as well 🙂 ..

Setting Goals For 2009 – TechBuzz.in

The years started fresh and so is my hopes and goals for the year 2009. 2008 had it’s ups and downs, the year was plain awesome, an exiting journey through out and was worth living every moment of it.

I made my share of mistakes, learn’t from them, swore never to repeat them, watched others making mistakes and made a note not to put myself in such situations. And of course wise advice from some good folks, has always helped me become a better blogger when compared to what I was at the beginning of 2008.

I know its useles to blog without a Goal. Any blogs without a goal, is a SPLOG according to me. So setting goals, achievable ones is what I’m doing now.

Great Quality and Useful Content :

This is and will be the USP or mantra of TechBuzz. I have, time and again tried to deliver what I consider is good content. But I’ve always had the urge to improve the kind and quality of content I put up on Tech Buzz. I was never a writer to start with and having learn’t English only in the past few years, makes it all the more difficult for me to come up with engaging content.

But I hate to call it quits, and I’m sure, even if I don’t become a top notch writer, I definitely will improve my standards of writing over time. And the quality will never suffer as I am a techie from start and that department is what I’m good at.

Improve Alexa And Compete Rank :

As I’m writing this post Techbuzz.in has a Alexa traffic rank of:  162,974 and Compete rank of 777,751.

This I believe will improve automatically over time if I stick to my first Goal, which is great Quality and useful content. As everyone knows Content is King and provide quality content and you’ll be rewarded in the long run.

Increase the Subscriber count :

Subscriber count can be used as a measure of how popular the blog is. Right now, I’ve started of with feed burner and still in 2 digit numbers. I plan to have 500+ subscribers by the end of 2009.

Earnings :

So far I have not concentrated on monetizing this site to it’s fullest. I will concentrate on this part in the second half of the year. My main goal right now is to increase the number of visitors and will just stick to it. One thing at a time.

> Apart from these goals, I also will help new bloggers with their start up problems.

> There are a lot of Bloggers who I plan to interveiw this year. I plan to interview atleast one blogger a month. These interviews should serve a purpose and that will be to help new bloggers understand the blogosphere better.

These are some of my goals as per blogging is concerned. A lot more planned up for SEO, SEM, career and personal front.

I just hope I let go of the bit of procrastination I do at times and achieve a lot more than I did in 2008.

And to end the post, I’d like to mention about another challenging step I have taken regarding Stock Market Trading. I am a part of a team which provides free nse and bse trading calls . I can pretty much say that I gain more than loose when I trade in the stock market. So my main goal on that front is to make 1 million from 1 lakh rupees from NSE and BSE.

You can follow my latest updates on how much money I have made from Stock Market. Also read the post where I claim I’d make that kind of money.
