How Can I Purge Or Delete Unwanted Icons From Start Menu Or All Programs Area in Windows Vista ?
You may have a lot of icons in the Start Menu’s left column or All Programs area which you hardly use. It is very easy to delete those unwated icons as they will just cosnume space without adding any value.
Here’s how you can purge or delete those unwanted icons from start menu:
1> Right click on the icon you want to delete.
2> Choose either Unpin from start menu or Remove from this list.
Don’t worry, removing the icon doesn’t mean that you have removed the program, but just that you have removed one of the reference from the start menu. The program will still be installed and works fine on your system.
If in future, you want to add the application back in the start menu then follow this post : How to add a program’s icon to the Start Menu.
