I tried downloading flash, but seems like I’m unable to download or I’m not sure if I have downloaded the flash player correctly. Where will the downloaded flash player be on my system so that I can verify if I’ve downloaded it correctly.
If you do not have latest version of Flash Player or have to update to the latest version of flash then you can download it from http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash . when you go to the site, you get a pop-up which says “Install”. A lot of people complain that nothing really happens When they click ‘Install’. There will be a test page which says “If you see the video, and text confirmation, your download was a success”.
If you can see the video it means that you successfully have installed flash. Else something might have gone wrong during the process.
To confirm if you have downloaded and installed flash successfully on your system go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ and it’ll tell if you have flash installed and the version number if installed.
A lot of people do complain that they have issues downloading full version of flash directly from adobe. If you have such similar problems, then you can download the it as a stand alone from : http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/flash.html .
After downloading the standalone version and installing it, check your IE or Mozilla setting. In IE go to ‘Internet options’, ‘Advanced’ and scroll down to the Multimedia section and ensure that the appropriate settings are indicated.
