If you bought yourself a lenovo recently and find that your system is behaving inconsistently after you upgraded the latest software updates from Lenovo , then you’ve got yourself one of the infected pieces from the market.
According to anti-virus researchers from Microsoft, Lenovo, the famous computer maker is shipping a software package infected with malware, for users using Windows XP as their primary Operating system.
Microsoft identified the malicious file as Meredrop/Win32, which acts as a Trojan dropper. Once a computer is infected with this trojan, it can take over installation and execution of malicious executables on the system.
UPDATE #1: Lenovo has removed the compromised download from its Web site.
