How to deal with the freezing of Firefox while opening PDFs problem
Often, users complain that whenever they click on a PDF file within Firefox, and the browser attempts to open the PDF within the main frame itself, it freezes up. This problem then requires you to restart your Firefox browser all over again – which is a serious headache. There are three ways in fix you can resolve this issue.

This is a Firefox Plug-in specially designed to handle PDFs within the browser window, and thereby deal with the problem being discussed here.- After starting Firefox, paste the following URL in the address bar and press Enter.

- A pop-up from the browser will ask you to install the plug-in. Click on Install Now.
- After the installation is over, go to Tools -> Add-ons from the main browser window.
- Select the Extensions tab, and locate the PDF Download tab.
- Click on Options.
- Go to the General tab.
- Under the heading Default Action, select the option for Open PDF.
- Go to the PDF opening tab, and select the option for Use OS default viewer.
- Click on OK.
- After starting Firefox, paste the following URL in the address bar and press Enter.
- Uninstall Firefox, and then reinstall it.
- Open the Control Panel by navigating to Start -> Control Panel.
- Switch to the Classic View by selecting the option for it in the left navigation panel.
- Double-click on the Add or Remove Programs icon.
- Scroll down the list of programs to find Mozilla Firefox and click on Remove.
- After the uninstallation is complete, download the latest version of Firefox from the web.
- Install the new version of Firefox.
- Uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall it.
- Repeat Steps a-c under Uninstall Firefox, and then reinstall it above.
- Locate Adobe Reader in the programs list, and click on Remove.
- Download the latest version of Adobe Reader from the internet, and install it.
