Remove/Disable/Turn Off Sleep Mode Password Entry Resuming Standby In Windows XP

If you are a Windows XP user, follow the below mentioned steps to disable password while resuming Standby mode:

1. Logon to your PC with administrator rights. Open “Control Panel” by going to the Start Menu.
2. Select “Performance and Maintenance” and open “Power Options”.
3. Within “Power Options” dialog box, go to the “Advanced” tab.
4. Deselect the check box corresponding to the option that asks whether to prompt for user password when the PC resumes from standby.
5. Click on “OK” button.
