If you live in Bangalore you definitely know what traveling in the hectic traffic is like! And at times we never realize, but chances are that we break the traffic rules when we are hurrying up somewhere.
If you think you were going unnoticed breaking traffic signal, then you were wrong. You would have noticed that all the “constables” have a book and pen in hand and they note down the vehicle number, time, place and the kind of offense and this data is fed into a single database.

This is a nice initiation taken by the Bangalore City Traffic Police.

Earlier in Bangalore on some roads where there was no road median, the parking was restricted to one side only due to the width of the roads being small to take both sides parking.
Now when the roads have the median, there is no point in continuing with this practice. Parking should be allowed on both the sides. Having even dates or odd dates parking does not make any sense where the roads have median. The fact that the medians are laid shows that the roads are wide enough to take the two way traffic and the parking as well. (It is the same when the parking is allowed on alternate dates or on all the dates on a side).
Hence I request you kindly to remove this restriction that is causing too much of inconvenience to the public and is really not serving any purpose other than collection of fines by gullible vehicle owners.

Traffic police is meant to advise commuters to go correct direction not to trap them. The Police officials are collecting fine on Electronic city 2nd gate on Hosur road by trapping public. In that particular spot there is no sign board or direction not to enter the particular spot. Please ensure that proper sign board should be kept there.

@Vasanth – Please go to your nearest police station, lodge a complaint, and inform the same to RTO. If the miscreants use your vehicle for unlawful activities, you might end up in trouble.

Of late there are new “No parking” sign boards all over bangalore and every day thousands of vehicles are registered. The government should remove the sign boards and allow the vehicles to be parked or stop all the registrations of new vehicles immediately to avoid parking problems or else it doesn’t make any sense. I am sure that the governement cannot do the latter because it’ll lose funds in the way of road tax and registrations.
My vehicle was reported for 2 trafiic violations, i have paid the fine in bangalore one on 2/2/2011, but in the web site still it is showing the same Notice nos againist my vehicle no. my payment is not updated

Hi i wanna know , Do we have an option of checking the details of fine, we have paid for any violation , I was caught by police cop on Monday for no parking issue , I have been given pay slip for 300 Rupees . But i don’t see any such complaint registered against my vehicle . Do this mean the money has gone to cop’s account . If so I really wanna take action against him. Help me cleaning our system from such people .

hi,, here on the way of kanakpura main road .. every time dis traffic police were waiting to catch the vehicle’a n get large amount of money .. dis is wt a big prob frm dis corrupted peoples . we r not able to go on dis way . some times dey take away vehicles if dey dont get any money frm dat owner , i request some authority to stop dis kind of works frm dis police , address

1. How long does it take for a violation to be updated on the online system if a challan has been produced immediately ?
2. Are all kinds of violations/pending fines updated on to the system ? eg – drinking & driving..?

Near Meenakshi royal mall – there is no affordable parking. Typically police men mans the interior road and fines if someone parks there. They conveniently ignore the parking issues on main bannerghatta road,. By doing this they are acting as a hand in glove for Meenakshi mall management – forcing people to use mall parking.
This is an interior road and there is no need for no parking sign – not even a bus runs here . It was all fine before no parking board – This board came after mall has started. Before that it was not there

This is a pathetic situation in Bangalore as the Road rage is going beyond control. I was witness to one such incident on Hosur road St. John’s junction where a Motorist was beating up a middle aged man after commuting a traffic violation. The 2 wheeler # KA 03 EC 5691 was the culprit. He was beating up the person with his helmet on his face. Hope some action will be taken on such unwanted people on roads. It is no longer safe with such hooligans, and the guy was talking in Telugu.

Bhavesh – How did the money transaction happen ? Was it through bank, if it was, then you can get hold of bank transactions and prove the case.

@Bhavesh – It might be difficult for you to prove the authenticity as you do not have any proof. However, if it’s creating problem for you, I advice you take legal advice before you take further action. I am sure that a good lawyer will be able to help you best.

Ok Sir. Thanks for your valuable input. One of the RTO agent in Bangalore advice me that you can send out the letter to particular RTO stating that i have sold my bike on some specific date to specific dealer and attached delivery note. Also mention that i am not liable for anymore now. Will it be fine ??? I also hoping that if you can provide any more insight on this..

@Bhavesh – You’re welcome. Yes, you can do as told by the RTO agent. It’s better you do that at the earliest.
You’ll be in trouble if the vehicle is part of an accident / mishap and you wouldn’t have anything to prove it’s not your vehicle.
Another thing you can do is, if the guy is denying that you have sold your vehicle and he doesn’t want to transfer the vehicle to his name and wants to continue using it in your name (I don’t know why he wants to do so), tell him that you’ll lodge a complaint with the police that someone has stolen your vehicle, and then he’ll loose the vehicle as he won’t have any supporting documents to save himself.
Urge him to change the ownership details.

SS – You can lodge a complaint with RTO by writing a letter as to why you want the vehicles details (hit-n-run case / theft, etc), they’ll provide you will all the details.
I have sold my vehical and now i am reloacted to another city.
i had a Santro KA-01-MA 7178 which was sold in banglaore.
this is not been tranfered . What actions i can take provided i do not have sale letter copy
I tried to call the person and he refused and said he will become the third owner of the vehical which will be a problem while selling this further .. he was known to my friend who is now in USA.
The sale letter was without any name when i handed over to them .
i do have a copy of Rental agreement where the guy is staying.

@Bhavesh – See if you can get it attested / signed by a gazetted officer for the validity of the application. Go to your RTO and take their suggestion as well. Once they tell you the procedure, please ensure you get the acknowledgement for your application.
