The years started fresh and so is my hopes and goals for the year 2009. 2008 had it’s ups and downs, the year was plain awesome, an exiting journey through out and was worth living every moment of it.
I made my share of mistakes, learn’t from them, swore never to repeat them, watched others making mistakes and made a note not to put myself in such situations. And of course wise advice from some good folks, has always helped me become a better blogger when compared to what I was at the beginning of 2008.
I know its useles to blog without a Goal. Any blogs without a goal, is a SPLOG according to me. So setting goals, achievable ones is what I’m doing now.
Great Quality and Useful Content :
This is and will be the USP or mantra of TechBuzz. I have, time and again tried to deliver what I consider is good content. But I’ve always had the urge to improve the kind and quality of content I put up on Tech Buzz. I was never a writer to start with and having learn’t English only in the past few years, makes it all the more difficult for me to come up with engaging content.
But I hate to call it quits, and I’m sure, even if I don’t become a top notch writer, I definitely will improve my standards of writing over time. And the quality will never suffer as I am a techie from start and that department is what I’m good at.
Improve Alexa And Compete Rank :
As I’m writing this post Techbuzz.in has a Alexa traffic rank of: 162,974 and Compete rank of 777,751.
This I believe will improve automatically over time if I stick to my first Goal, which is great Quality and useful content. As everyone knows Content is King and provide quality content and you’ll be rewarded in the long run.
Increase the Subscriber count :
Subscriber count can be used as a measure of how popular the blog is. Right now, I’ve started of with feed burner and still in 2 digit numbers. I plan to have 500+ subscribers by the end of 2009.
Earnings :
So far I have not concentrated on monetizing this site to it’s fullest. I will concentrate on this part in the second half of the year. My main goal right now is to increase the number of visitors and will just stick to it. One thing at a time.
> Apart from these goals, I also will help new bloggers with their start up problems.
> There are a lot of Bloggers who I plan to interveiw this year. I plan to interview atleast one blogger a month. These interviews should serve a purpose and that will be to help new bloggers understand the blogosphere better.
These are some of my goals as per blogging is concerned. A lot more planned up for SEO, SEM, career and personal front.
I just hope I let go of the bit of procrastination I do at times and achieve a lot more than I did in 2008.
PS: Those who wish to track most if not all my moves in the blogoshpere, follow me on twitter. All you need to do is go to the following page, and click on the “Follow” tag.
Also if possible, learn to harness the power of twitter and you’ll end up discussing with a lot of top Marketing Professionals.
And to end the post, I’d like to mention about another challenging step I have taken regarding Stock Market Trading. I am a part of a team which provides free nse and bse trading calls . I can pretty much say that I gain more than loose when I trade in the stock market. So my main goal on that front is to make 1 million from 1 lakh rupees from NSE and BSE.
You can follow my latest updates on how much money I have made from Stock Market. Also read the post where I claim I’d make that kind of money.
