  • Search for registry key which is called WaitToKillApp. Now right click and choose change or modify value to 1000.

HangAppTime is a registry file and function of it’s to set hang time before closing.

How to change it:

  • Click on start option, go to run ands type “regedit” to open directory of windows registry
  • Move to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
  • Search for registry key which is called HangAppTime. Now right click and choose change or modify value to 1000.
  • Finally exit from windows registry option

 

WaitToKillserviceTimeout is a registry which is responsible to set time to wait before closing Microsoft services.

How to change it:

  • Click on start option, go to run ands type “regedit” to open directory of windows registry
  • Move to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
  • Search for registry key which is called WaitToKillServiceTimeout. Now right click and choose change or modify value to 1ooo.
  • Finally exit from windows registry option

 

In addition to amending to these four registry files, you have to make changes in one more registry file, ClearPageFileOnShutdown. This registry file removes all contents of pagefiles for security purpose while windows shutting down. If you are ready to compromise with your system‘s security then you can make changes in this registry file to clear all pagefiles.

  • Click on start option, go to run ands type “regedit” to open directory of windows registry
  • Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
  • Search for registry key which is called ClearPageFileOnShutdown. Now right click and choose change or modify value to 0.
  • Finally exit from windows registry option
