Image editing has become a part of most PC users, irrespective of whether you are a blogger, marketer or a student. I keep looking for tools that will make make my image editing work easier.
I have photoshop installed on my system, but really lack the patience and dedication to sit down and craft an image. I’d better get it done by a professional rather spending time figuring out what needs to be done and how it could be achieved.
In the search for the best image editing tool, online or desktop, I came across Splashup. The first look at it will get you exited that you’ve hit a gold mine, features like multi image editing, pixel level control, layering of depth all sounds good. And the best part is SplashUp is an online image editing tool, so perfect for those who hate bulky software installed on their system.
But I’d say I was a little disappointed when I started using SplashUp, not that it’s not good, just that it did not fit my expectation of being simple. It’s very similar to photoshop, the way it functions and and looks a bit like photoshop too, but has way less features when compared to PhotoShop.
The best feature I liked about SplashUp is the ability to select a particular part in an image and apply custom effects to that part of the image. This along with the capabilities to implement layers makes it very powerful. I’ve not see this feature, in any other online image editing tools.
I hope they come up with better documentation, as not everyone is an expert in editing images and also hopefully a community or some how-to tutorials. That will be more helpful for newbies.
