Workaround Fix for Installing Virtual PC Additions

Any standard or enterprise of Windows Server 2008 Core in a virtual machine that is using the Virtual PC 2007 SP1 gives one minute problem after installation. The problem arises when we try to install the Virtual Machine Additions.

When we try installing the VM Additions by running setup.exe, the installation fails and gets aborted or rolled back. This problem has a simple solution.

Before installing the VM Additions just disable the sound card workaround. As soon as you disable the sound card availability, the Windows Server 2008 Core will allow you to proceed with the VM Additions installation. This little adjustment will help you to successfully install this application into your system.
